Vasu Raja is the Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at American Airlines Group. He oversees American's Customer organization and global network and has oversight of the airline's revenue management, pricing, marketing, sales, and customer service functions. Raja joined American in 2013 as Senior Vice President of Revenue Management and Planning. In 2016, he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Loyalty. In 2018, he was named Chief Commercial Officer.

Raja has more than 20 years of experience in the airline industry. Prior to joining American, he held leadership positions at Delta Air Lines and JetBlue Airways. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Under Raja's leadership, American has been recognized for its customer service and innovation. In 2019, American was named the best airline in North America by J.D. Power and Associates. American has also been recognized for its use of technology to improve the customer experience. In 2018, American launched a new mobile app that allows customers to book flights, check in for flights, and track their bags.

Raja is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion. He is a member of the American Airlines Diversity and Inclusion Council. He is also a member of the board of directors of the National Urban League.
