Leicester City's Premier League Relegation Fight Continues
City Drop to 14th After Chelsea Defeat
King's Late Goal Not Enough to Secure Victory
Leicester City's hopes of an immediate return to the Premier League suffered a fresh setback on Friday as they fell to a 3-1 defeat at home to Chelsea.
The Foxes had taken the lead through Andy King in the 88th minute, but goals from Eden Hazard, Diego Costa, and Willian condemned them to their fourth defeat in five matches.
The result leaves Leicester 14th in the Championship table, 11 points adrift of the play-off places. With just eight games remaining, their hopes of promotion are fading fast.
Manager Nigel Pearson will be particularly disappointed with his team's performance against Chelsea. The Foxes were outplayed for long periods and were fortunate not to concede more goals.
Leicester will now have to regroup quickly as they face a tough trip to Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night.
